Utterly delightful and quaint inside
Once on the N1, we made good time. The road was good, and there wasn’t too much traffic.
But we weren’t quite ready to end our Weekend Away In Sutherland too quickly, so we made a final pitstop along the way.
The Veldskoen Padstal outside De Doorns turned out to be the perfect place for a delicious cup of coffee and tea with scones. Friendly service, good food, welcoming smiles. And a delightful shop with lots of tempting gifts for friends back home. If you don’t feel like sitting inside, there are tables outside too, with a little play area for the young’uns. I do hope we will visit here again.
